Vintage Wool and Feather Beret Cap #Review #VintageBeret

Every year in February, my church does a themed decade night.  It's awesome!  People come in costume (if they want) and we get to try out lots of desserts and watch performances from people dressed like period performers.  We've watched I Love Lucy and The Three Stooges skits, also Charlie Chaplin and others.  We've been to 20's night and 50's night.
Then there was the sock hop and the 80's themed cookie sales from Girl Scouts, not to mention the decade themed school days and the civil war encampment that the library put on.  We have so many opportunities each year to celebrate eras long gone and we love doing it!
So when I saw this vintage feather beret, I fell right in love with it.  I mean, look at it!  It came in four different colors and I almost went with red, but I have a red artist beret, so I went with a more neutral color.  Before I tell you about it, I don't want to forget to mention that I have a coupon code for you!  Right now, this beret is on sale for $17.98, but you can get an extra 35% Off if you use the promo code CZQSCP5C.  It expires 11/30/2015 and shipping is free.
Okay, so now that I remembered that part, check out the details!  It has a pretty little round accent that's beveled.  The light shines off it and makes it a focal point.  The hat itself is made of wool, so the contrast in surface type is very nice.
Under the accent piece is a group of feathers.  These are the awesome curly feathers that you sometimes see.  Plumes, I believe you'd call them.  They're super pretty.  In my photo, it happened to catch a pretty shiny part that I didn't notice at the time of taking it.  There is in fact, that shiny spot, but you only see it if the light hits it just right.
One feature it has that surprised me was the adjustable band inside.  This allows you to adjust the hat to be smaller if you need.  The hat comes in a size that isn't necessarily large, but is roomy.  So the adjustable tie is a nice addition.
This hat did come packaged in a rather small envelope, so scrunching did occur through it's whole transit from China.  There was creasing and it seems to be lasting.  So because of that, I'm gonna go ahead and say that this isn't your high end type hat, it's gonna be something you would want for normal wearing or for costumes or the like.  Although, for costumes, it's better than most you'd find.
So overall, I think the hat is awesome!   I love it and am glad to have it.  What's your favorite decade?  To learn more, check out FuzzyGreen on Amazon.
